Hi All At the moment I am building a work bench as the layout is in the loft at the moment I do not have the space to do any work on buildings and rolling stock. That then leads to more work as I have to do the joinery work in the barn which has only one fluorescent light and in this weather it is just not enough so I have to wire in a new light for which I have to make a frame so that the light falls on the work bench, so as with most things one thing leads to another. So instead of being nice and warm I am stuck in the barn in the murky light but then again it could be worse.

Work has been ongoing but the females in the household that some silly holiday must be prepared for and important work has had to be delayed while I am forced to visit shops and generally waste my time buying food. Certain words like "grumpy", "Scrooge" and "spoilsport" have all been thrown at me but I have fought back with "Bah Humbug". But as experience in life tells us we have no chance of winning in the long run so I will continue will my clandestine work in the barn with the excuse that I am just popping out to check that everything is OK in the barn. (fooling nobody in the process). All the best to every one and I hope santa has been online and has ordered the right presents. Merry Christmas.

I am seriously in the dog house at the moment with she who must be obeyed and it is all the fault of ebay. I have just bought an Athearn Santa Fe U30B diesel power unit. I just could not resist at £19.99, as new, never been run and with only £6.00 postage to darkest France. There really is just only one slight problem I model German 1920's Reichsbahn and not US modern outline but these US loco's just look so good. It will take some time to get back in the good books.
