Hi Brian,
Sorry I missed you, I went in the afternoon. Quiet initially but by 4pm it was absolutely packed.
Comparatively small expo, but I did have some interesting chats with several exhibitors, and I think I met you 70 sq metres friend, Berain, who happens to live in Chabanais, we will meet up locally.
One of the people I spoke to was a representative of the Society of Independent Railway Modellers, and I got hold of a registration form and the member's publication, La Voie de L'AMFI, full colour 23 pages and quite informative, if concentrated on French layouts.
Did you see the 3D printer? Really cheap self-made prototyper, thought that might interest you.
Also met a guy who gave me coordinates for someone who does photo-etching in Limoges centre, I need some cheap railings, so will visit him and feed back.
I had a query from a local friend and fellow modeller who was inquiring on behalf of some other friends who want to get a local club started, and I will be discussing the possibility of a club layout for exhibitions with him in light of the lack of response to recent question of AFRM going to an exhibition - watch this space!
Hope all is well with you All the best John

Hi John, It was an interesting exhibition I thought and I did see the 3D printer, but we decided some time ago that the technology was not yet user friendly enough at this stage to proceed. The 70 sq m man was a different chap so there will be two very large layouts eventually! Good luck with the photo etching, it sounds useful. It is a shame we can't raise enough interest in an exhibition layout but it doesn't surprise me. Hope fully we can meet up before too long, and all is well with you, Best wishes Brian
