Hello everyone,
We are grinding to a halt as a Forum, many new members have drawn my attention to this.
I had a recent message from Tonyk suggesting that we might mount a stall at a forthcoming exhibition to promote ourselves and attract new members and encourage existing members to post more than they do.
I would really appreciate your feedback on this idea, I like it, but it would require the active support of several other members to make it a reality - so please, get back to me with your suggestions and offers of help. Let's not allow the Forum to die before it has a chance to grow up as a shining example of good practice, and of being fit for purpose.
All the best
John

Hi John, sorry for the delay in replying. I agree that some sort of meeting should be held, wether it is at an event or just the members getting together. The problem of forum activity keeps cropping up and probably always will but in the past the threat of closure prompts a surge in activity. I am aware that getting members to a meeting is like herding cats but some people like to chat face to face rather than always through the forum. When the forum started Berty had the idea of creating a mobile layout to take to events so if any members have such a thing I am sure we could attend events to encourage new blood into our forum. Christmas fairs would be ideal. As I am getting into my modelling part of the year I could possibly take time out to help in some way. I still have your mags and DVDs, let me know if you need them back in the near future, best wishes Brian
