And full set of lines .the train is minus its stack and whistle which I would like to replace as I want to sell this set .the tin plate carriages are badly rusted .(how do you decide when to restore or not to restore ). Advice needed as where to replace(if possible) the missing parts and where best to get a fair valuation . Thank you Attachments:

Hi Stuart,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations having such historic pieces.
The question of to restore or not is dependant on several factors, including rarity of the item, condition, availability of spares, skill of the restorer, cost of restoration v restored value, desirability of model and access to best market place for sale to mention just a few and that doesn't consider the effects of 'over restoration'.
My preference would always to retain originality, which is usually wise in retaining the models inherent value. It's always useful to get a real expert (not just a dealer!) to give you an appraisal.
Good look and I hope the set finds a deserving new home.
Bill
