Scalescenes
For those of you who might like to try building some card and paper structures, railway or town scenes, then I warmly recommend looking here...
www.scalescenes.com
The proprietor, John Wiffen, provides free useful taster models, and can now supply just about anything you'll need for your railway. He produces texture papers for scratch builders like me and his stuff is easily kit-bashed.
The principle is simple, you download a pdf file, print out the results, stick 'em to cardboard and assemble them using PVA glue and Pritstick. You don't need to print out the excellent instructions if you can work next to your 'pooter, and if you mess up a bit, just print another one! Yes, yes, printer ink is expensive but with care you need spend far less than trying to make the same structure in plastic, and need involve no postage costs.
Have a look, I have no commercial connection with Scalescenes, but can give any assistance needed to a newcomer to this interesting and practical side of railway structure modelling.
