Hello! A close friend of mine has recently lost her husband who was an avid model railway builder. His legacy is a very large layout, and I mean very large, in H0 scale (Occupyong 3 sides and the centre of a room 5m by 3m).
The layout is 100% digital with the vast majority of locomotives also sound fitted. Everything is SNCF post-war era up to 1970's (pre-TGV). We are talking of well over 50 locos and accompanying rolling stock, Peco 100 track and Peco points and crossovers. The layout is fully functional but not scenically finalised (I would say 75% finished), but that which is finished is of the highest order with wonderful scenery, buildings and working accessories....level crossings (digital), turntable (digital) etc. All that is finished and naturally the rolling stock is immaculate.
Control System is Trix Digital and all turnouts and crossings are mimic board controlled (mostly solenoid, but also some Tortoise)
Location is Charente-Maritime near Saintes 17100.
I have many photographs, but have not made a detailled inventory as yet, since the passing was quite recent.
Our friend has entrusted me with her husband's "masterpiece" and I have promised her to ensure it reaches ONLY" the right hands".
We will not entertain "cherry picking".
If you have an interest in purchasing such a wonderful installation, please make yourself known to me and we can correspond.

Hi Deltic,
Just a quick check to find out if this layout is still for sale, whilst I am updating the Forum. It's not that I want to buy it, just to update its status.
Many thanks, All the Best John

Thanks Bill, I will lock the post. Hope all is well with you, and you are finding time for some modelling. Making slow progress with mine, and due to post soon with pics of my new construction baseboards.
All the best John
