Greetings Everyone,
Now that the re-organization of Forum Boards is under weigh, a quick 'heads up' about finding your way around.
The new function in question is: If you now hover over "Anglo French Railway Modellers" in the white header bar, you can see all the Categories and Boards and you will be able to go directly to them without having to scroll. It also shows where you visited last in Bold. You will NOT see Threads when you hover, only Categories and Boards.
Just for information, the hierarchy from bottom to top is as follows: 1. Posts - are contained within Threads (Topics/ discussions on a specific, and uniquely identified subject) 2. Threads appear in the Board which covers the message content 3. Boards are listed with Categories, which are general headings for the selection of Boards that appear within them. 4. The General Board remains a place for discussion of non-railway matters, and over the next few days will contain less Threads, those Threads and the Posts they contain will have been move to a Board within the appropriate Category.
If you cannot find a thread dealing with "Topics/ discussions on a specific, and uniquely identified subject", you probably need a new Board within a Category. Before posting, reply to this message, and Admin will create a new Board for you.
Any questions?
All the best John
