This is an exposition of Christmas decorations and model railways, which they seem to do every year. We went along on spec, expecting the main point to be the Christmas decoration shop, and were pleasantly surprised. It's a start-at-the-beginning - end-at-the-shop sort of exhibition. There was a small layout before the cash desk with a couple of auto-shuttling trains, but then ... They are, of course, trying to amuse the public rather than to recreate something, and most are a bit rabbit warren, but 5 amazing layouts, plus the one at the beginning, and another fairly simple but quite good one in the shop. The layouts share their space with some incredible Christmas decoration, and what the shop sells is not run-of-the-mill stuff (they sell a few model rail things as well, but not much). So, worth it if you are in the area (https://goo.gl/maps/7rQGycHS9kD2). Sadly there are no refreshments, but there should be something in Plélo (we didn't have time to go and see). Anyway, Hours: Until December 19, 2015, open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 14 h to 18 h 30, then every day till just after New Year (not Christmas day or New Years day), and (not sure about this) 3 days a week again for another week or two. Rates: Entry € 4.50 (free for children under 12 years)

Hi Eric,
Thanks for this, its a bit far away for me, but what a great opportunity for those who may be travelling to and from UK via St Malo, not far for a detour. Hope all is going well for you.
All the best John
