I am posting here an e-mail I received from one Susan James twismo@hotmail.co.uk which is quite self explanatory. The subject is out of my range, but someone here might be interested? I shall reply to her, telling her that I have posted her e-mail, suggesting artwork/flip charts as a more viable media, and the drawback of tryingto cart about something which will inevitably be rather large to incorporate the level of detail she hopes for. We are looking for a scale model to represent the proposed Elephant Haven (EH) site here in the Haute-Vienne. If you not aware of EH, have a look at the website www.elephanthaven.org where you will see the background to this ambitious but very worthwhile project.
EH is fundraising to buy the land and we felt a model would be an extremely useful tool to have at any event held in aid of EH.
Ideally, it would be a model showing the topography of the land and the layout of the buildings, including the barns that would house the elephants that people could see the interior of, the enclosures, the lake, trees, a viewing walkway and of course, some people and elephants. If that were not possible, maybe at the very least models of the elephant enclosures.
Elephant Haven hopes that a model maker in the region might be interested in this project as a charitable act, with publicity/credit being given to the maker.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Kind regards Susan
Doug

Doug,
Thank you very much for taking time to pass this on, it does seem a good opportunity for someone to construct an unusual diorama. I will have a look at their site and see what is involved.
I hope all is well with you and that you continue going from strength to strength in your modelling activities. I found your articles on Scalescenes models particularly interesting and helpful. Good to hear from you.
All the best John
