The best magazine in my opinion is Le Train as it covers present day SNCF running along with historical features as well as model railways. It has adverts from model shops and suppliers, most of the shops as with all things in France seem to be in the Paris area. The other magazines are RMF and Voire Libre which are both good, none of the magazines are cheap but you can do a WH Smith and read them in the supermarket. I do not know if the show in Limoges is an annual event but I will dig out the details and post them later.

Just found all the info re Limorail 2013 which was held at Feytiat near Limoges and was held on the 19th/20th October last year. The show was organised by the Limoges model railway club (www.amcl87.com). I checked the website this morning but no mention of any possible shows this year. Also talking about French model rail magazines I forgot to mention a nice little magazine called "Cles pour le train miniature" which is an offshoot of RMF and sells for 3.50 euros. Each month it carries a card template of a typical French outline building in both HO and continental N gauge and some quite interesting articles. I started looking at some old copies of Le Train last night and if your are interested in French outline railways both past and modern then at 8.50 euros it is not that expensive when you consider UK magazines are about £4 to £5 a copy.

Yes, I have recently discovered Cles, and for 3.50 it is a good buy for some tips and a glimpse of different layouts. Let's hope it catches on so it can grow into something a bit better.
